Introduction
COVID-19 is slowing down the supply chain of global food products. The production of tuna is being affected as well. It is not known how adversely the tuna industry is being affected, but given its importance to the Pacific Island countries, it would be wise to monitor the unfolding impacts of COVID-19. The importance of tuna in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean (WCPO) cannot be underestimated.
